Father Nicholas Samaras’ descent is from Gargalianos and Tripoli, Greece. His grandparents immigrated to Woburn, Massachusetts where he graduated from High School and went on to graduate from Hellenic College and our Holy Cross School of Theology. He attended the Aristotelian University in Thessaloniki, Greece and lived on the island of Patmos. In addition to his Masters in Theology, he also earned a Master of Fine Art from Columbia University and a Ph.D. from the University of Denver.
Having received the blessing of Saint Paisios to become ordained, Father Samaras loves to focus on faith-education, spiritual growth, and serving our people. In 32 years, he has served at the Diocese of Denver and parishes in Grand Junction, Colorado (4 years), Tarpon Springs, Florida (2 years), Lecanto, Florida (9 years), and West Nyack, New York (16 years).
Married to the daughter of a priest, Evyenia Diacovasilis Samaras, they are the proud parents of Anastasia and Kallistos Samaras.
